2nd Borrowdale piece
I was over in Rosthwaite at the weekend to take part in the Borrowdale Fell Race. I took the opportunity to add another piece to the fency by the YHA. Should I be doing this or is it considered litter? It will degrade, it is Herdwick wool but is it ethical to leave things behind...

Borrowdale Knitting, June 2010
As part of my training for the Bob Graham I passed through Borrowdale and had a peek at the piece by the YHA. It is still there (just) so will pop back to re-stitch.
It was a really wet day and the piece was soaked. Lovely.

Volcanic ash cancellation
I was supposed to be in Finland for the next two weeks but I have been grounded. So what an opportunity to head for the hills and do some knitting in the Lakes. Good weather forecast so WATCH THIS SPACE!

This is a piece that I did in September 2009 on my Borrowdale to Newcastle walk. It is above Thirlmere on the way over to Borrowdale - a lovely quiet walk.

Borrowdale, November 2009
Popped over to Borrowdale from Ullswater the week after the floods. My piece is still there - even though it looks a bit bedraggled! I wonder if any little creature is going to make it its home this winter?
